Whop Philyor's big performance on the road didn't go unnoticed.

The IU wide receiver on Monday was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week by the conference, sharing honors with Michigan State wide receiver Cody White.

Philyor posted a career-high 13 catches for 127 yards and a touchdown in Indiana's 42-39 loss at Maryland last Saturday. His 13 receptions set the true freshman program record and marked the fourth-highest single game total in program history.

Additionally, Philyor's total yardage is most by a true freshman since OJ Conner's 140 yards against Ball State on September 13, 1997. He also became the fourth true freshman to record 100 yards receiving in a single game, joining Conner (twice), Tandon Doss and Ernie Jones.

Philyor is the second Hoosier freshman to collect Freshman of the Week honors from the Big Ten. Running back Morgan Ellison was also recognized for his performance against Georgia Southern earlier in the season.

Philyor and the Hoosiers return to action hosting No. 4 Wisconsin on Saturday at noon ET on ABC.
