Staff Predictions
Taylor Lehman: Wisconsin 27, Indiana 10 - On paper, this Badger defense is the best defense IU will play this season. It is second in both rushing and passing defenses and records the most sacks in the Big Ten. The linebacking corps is phenomenal. With questions at quarterback, running back and tight end, as far as health is concerned, IU’s offense doesn’t stand a chance. The defense will hold its own against the Wisconsin offense, but we’ve seen where this narrative ends up.
Stu Jackson: Wisconsin 28, Indiana 20 - Is this the weekend for the breakthrough victory? The Badgers have a trio of key players who remain questionable for Saturday's game - running back Jonathan Taylor, wide receiver Quintez Cephus and safety D’Cota Dixon - and all have been critical in helping Wisconsin have the No. 3 scoring offense in the Big Ten and No. 5 total defense nationally, respectively. If all three play, this contest has the potential to not be as close as the predicted result. Indiana’s defense has the ability to keep the Hoosiers in it, but the key will be the play at quarterback - regardless if Peyton Ramsey or Richard Lagow gets the start.
Jordan Wells: Indiana 28, Wisconsin 27 - To be honest, I have no X's and O's argument as to why Indiana should beat Wisconsin - the Badgers are the better team. The spread is 13 points in favor of Wisconsin. You would be going against the grain to pick the Hoosiers straight up...but what's the fun in just picking the favorite every time? Screw that. This Indiana team has stepped on its own foot over and over in big games this year - they're overdue for a big win. Why not? I'll take the Hoosiers to pull off a big one.
