Indiana shooting guard Nick Zeisloft worked out in front of an NBA team today.

The 6-foot-4 guard worked out for the Dallas Mavericks, Indiana coach Tom Crean said.

Zeisloft is the third IU player to work out for the NBA prior to the 2016 draft, joining All-American point guard Yogi Ferrell and 6-foot-7 junior forward Troy Williams.

Zeisloft was a 3-point specialist at IU, where his athleticism, footwork and ability to function with screens to find shots took major leaps.

The guard from Lyons Township in La Grange, Ill., shot 43.2 percent (128-296) from the arc in two years at IU after shooting 37.6 percent (88-for-234) in two years at Illinois State.

Zeisloft’s improvement was particularly noticeable because he almost exclusively shot 3s. Of his 330 field goal attempts in two seasons at Indiana, 296 were 3s.

As a senior, Zeisloft averaged 6.5 points and shot 41.7 percent from the arc in helping the Hoosiers win their second Big Ten regular-season title in five years and advance to the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA Tournament.
