Greg Frey is getting paid.

Frey, who left his assistant coaching gig at Indiana to join Michigan, signed a three-year deal valued at $500,000 a year, according to a report by the Detroit Free Press. Frey was making $376,000 annually at Indiana, according to the USA TODAY salary database.

Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh is clearly making moves at adding top-tier coaching talent while ignoring all costs associated with it. Frey will serve as the run game coordinator/offensive tackle and tight ends coach with the Wolverines.

For perspective, when now IU head coach Tom Allen was hired to be Indiana's defensive coordinator, he was to be paid at roughly the same as Frey at Michigan.
