Inside Indiana has learned that four IU football players have been suspended for the first quarter of this weekend's home opener against Utah for being late to a team meeting.
Fullback Jeremi Johnson, defensive end Steve Williams, safety Ron Bethel and defensive tackle Jamil Frink - three of whom started in the season opener against N.C. State - will sit out the first quarter.
The likely replacements in the starting lineup will be: Rashon Myles for Johnson at fullback; Kemp Rasmussen (moving over from defensive tackle) for Williams; and Willie Northern for Bethel.
