Troy Williams appears to have found a home in the NBA.
After a strong performance in last week's NBA Las Vegas Summer League, the Houston Rockets reached an agreement with Williams on a three-year contract. Miller's agent, Andy Miller of ASM Sports, first reported the deal and ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski added additional details.
Williams finished with the fifth-best scoring average during the NBA's Las Vegas Summer League at 22 points per game while logging 26.9 minutes per game as a starter for the Rockets.
After going undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft, he averaged 6.2 points and 3.3 rebounds during his rookie season in the league, including 24 games with the Memphis Grizzlies and six games with Houston. He flourished in his limited regular season stint with the Rockets, averaging 9.7 points and four rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the field in 23.1 minutes per game.
During his three seasons at IU, Williams averaged 11.3 points and 5.9 rebounds per game across 99 career games. As a junior, he helped Indiana win the the 2016 Big Ten title outright.
