2019 Rivals Rankings: Two In-State Targets In Top 50 Nationally

Two of IU's top in-state 2019 targets remain among the top 50 prospects nationally.

Both Center Grove forward Trayce Jackson-Davis and Fort Wayne North Side forward Keion Brooks were listed among the top names nationally in Rivals.com's updated 2019 rankings, released on Wednesday.

Here's an order of IU prospects on the list starting from top to bottom, plus how they moved from their previous ranking.

Background: Named Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA) first team All-League after averaging 20.7 points per game and helping lead Archbishop Molloy to the CHSAA Class AA state semifinals ... Also finished fifth in the league in scoring.

Background: Named First Team All-State in Minnesota by the Associated Press after averaging 29.1 points and 9.9 rebounds per game to lead Rochester (Minn.) John Marshall High to a 25-4 overall record and Section One, Class AAAA Championship appearance ... Also recognized as first team Sophomore All-American by MaxPreps and the All-Area boys basketball player of the year by the Rochester Post Bulletin ... Boasted the second-highest scoring average in the state of Minnesota last season ... Also recorded 2.7 blocks per game, tied for eighth best in the state.

Background: Named first team All-State in Alabama's Class 7A division after averaging 23 points and 9.9 rebounds per game, leading Birmingham (Ala.) Mountain Brook to the 7A state title and a 31-5 overall record ... Chosen as Birmingham Boys Basketball Player of the Year by Alabama Media Group (AL.com) ... Also averaged 3.0 assists, 2.3 blocks and 1.3 steals per game.

Background: Named to the 'Supreme 15' Underclass All-State team by the IBCA after leading Greenwood (Ind.) Center Grove to a regional semifinal appearance, where the Trojans fell to then-defending state champion New Albany and 2018 five-star guard Romeo Langford ... Tallied 16 points and nine rebounds for Center Grove in that loss, and averaged 12 points and nine rebounds during his sophomore season ... As a freshman, averaged 9.5 pounds and 6.1 rebounds per game for the Trojans.

Previous Ranking: Moved up to 28 from outside the Top 50 following a previous evaluation this winter.

Background: Transferred to nearby La Lumiere School for his junior campaign ... Led Rochester (New York) Mcquaid Jesuit to the Section 5 Class AA semifinals ... Missed the majority of his sophomore season with a broken tailbone, but finished with 35 points, 14 rebounds and six blocks in his return in February .. As a freshman, averaged 18.5 points, 12.4 rebounds and 3.1 blocks per game.

Background: Named to the 'Supreme 15' Underclass All-State team by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) after averaging over 20 points and seven rebounds this season to lead Fort Wayne (Ind.) North Side to a 27-3 overall record and a runner-up finish in the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) Class AAAA state title. The appearance in the state championship was the school's first in 52 years ... As a freshman, averaged over 17 points and six rebounds per game for North Side while leading it to the Section 6 Semifinals.
