After a strong season on the field, 2019 4-star wide receiver and IU target David Bell is enjoying success on the hardwood, too.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Indianapolis Warren Central product helped lead his school's basketball team to an Indiana High School Athletic Association Class 4A semi-state playoff appearance over the weekend as the Warriors defeated defending state champion Indianapolis Ben Davis 48-46 in overtime in the Southport regional semifinals and Terre Haute (Ind.) South 83-48 in the Southport regional championship.

Warren Central kept its undefeated record in tact at 30-0 with the pair of victories and will face New Albany and 2018 five-star guard Romeo Langford in Seymour this weekend.

Bell scored 14 points in the regional championship and was one of five Warriors who scored in double figures. He had just two points against Ben Davis, but his lone field goal helped give Warren Central a 46-44 lead in overtime with 1:16 left, according to the Indianapolis Star's Kyle Neddenriep.

The semi-state matchup between No. 1 Warren Central and No. 3 New Albany will tipoff at 3 p.m. ET Saturday at Seymour (Ind.) High School and be lived-streamed on ihsaatv.org.

On the season, Bell is averaging a team-leading 11.8 points per game for Warren Central's hoops squad. Entering regional play, he was also averaging 6.5 rebounds per game.

Bell wrapped up his junior football season with 52 catches for 1,075 yards and 11 touchdowns in 11 games, helping lead Warren Central to a 7-4 overall record and Class 6A sectional championship appearance. He was named to the IndyStar's annual Super Team for his performance.
