Trey Galloway got his Indiana career started on Wednesday night and he has already showed just how important he'll be for the Hoosiers this season.
Coming off of the bench, the IU freshman put up 13 points, second most on the team, in 19 minutes and finished 6-of-9 from the field. He also added two rebounds and two assists.
While it was a performance without fans in the stands, and some nerves may have been taken away because of that, it's one that sets the bar high for the rest of his season.
"I thought he played really well," Trayce Jackson-Davis said. "You have been beating up on each other in practice, so just trying to execute it. Overall I thought he played really well, especially for his first game."
"I would say just the older guys picking me up in practice and kind of just carrying me through the practices and just getting me through it," Galloway said when talking about how he was ready for his college debut. "Strong leadership, and just trying to stay ready on the bench, and when my time was called I was going out there to compete."
