Clifton Moore is a mystery man no longer.

The senior from Horsham (Pa.) Hatboro Horsham Sr. committed to Indiana following an official visit to Bloomington over the Oct. 1 weekend.

Moore's national reputation grew from virtual unknown to intriguing prospect in recent weeks, and his prominence should only jump further forward after committing to the Hoosiers.

His AAU team, Hoopdreamz, does not play on one of the major shoe company circuits (Nike, adidas and Under Armour.) So some folks, including many recruiting writers, simply didn't see him this spring and summer.

But news began to spread about the forward after a great July in which his squad squared off with several shoe company teams, and Moore shined in some big matchups. Indiana assistant Chuck Martin was present to see Moore finish with 20 points and 12 rebounds against former Indiana target and four-star forward Malik Williams (Louisville).

Part of what's so intriguing about the senior is his continued growth in height. Moore was listed at 6-2 in his freshman year, and thus played at that young age as a guard - but as he's grown all the way now to over 6-10, 202 pounds, and he's maintained those abilities.

He projects as a "stretch four" at the college level.

"I spoke with a few trusted contacts who scouted Moore this summer and the feedback was very positive," Rivals.com national analyst Eric Bossi wrote on TheHoosier.com premium forums after IU offered in September.

Among the quotes Bossi obtained:

"Under-the-radar but can be a high major stud."

"Might be a legit 6-10, runs the floor. A 4/3 (combo forward) guy who can really shoot."

"Long. Major sleeper. Really shoots it."

And thus, the notoriety of Moore began to grow.

"I definitely want to learn how they'd use me as a player and develop me," Moore said after Indiana offered in September. "I want to learn about their academic support and the relationship with the coaches, and how friendly they are. I want to see how the players and students interact.

"I want to see the whole package and whole experience. If I'm comfortable, that would be great."

That checklist didn't take long to complete. After popping for Indiana following his visit to Bloomington, it sounds like mission accomplished for the Hoosiers.

Moore also took an official visit to Ole Miss, and held an offer from the Rebels in addition to St. Joseph's, St. John's, Temple, Northwestern and Boston College. He also had interest from Villanova.

He averaged over 13 points per game for Hatboro Horsham as a junior.
