Indiana head coach Archie Miller joins IU Athletics broadcaster Don Fischer on Indiana's weekly basketball radio show Monday evening at the Bloomington Holiday Inn. The Hoosiers are 7-0 with their biggest tests ahead of them, as they prepare to play 24 consecutive Power Five opponents.
Redshirt freshman forward Jerome Hunter is the player guest.
Miller and Hunter touched on the following notes:
- "In the last three halves, we haven't taken care of the ball. That's a set up for disaster."
- Miller discussed the advantages to having Rob Phinisee on the floor, such as his ability to take care of the ball and his abilities on defense, but he said the team has grown used to not having his presence on the floor because he's missed so much practice time. There was no word on his status.
- Miller talked about Trayce Jackson-Davis' growth after he realized he couldn't get away with what he could in high school.
- "We have to do a better job of feeding the post."
- Miller gave an in-depth scouting report of Florida State, including that it plays 10-12 players every game and presses hard.
- Miller also discussed why next season's strength of schedule in the nonconference season will be much tougher next season.
- Hunter discussed his path back to the floor and how he has picked the game up throughout the nonconference schedule.
