NBA Draft Combine Day 1 Notes On IU's OG Anunoby And Thomas Bryant

Former IU forward OG Anunoby and center Thomas Bryant are in Chicago this week for the NBA Draft Combine, which runs May 9-14. Here's the latest news and notes on both after the first day.

Measurements

Anunoby:

• Height with shoes: 6'7.75"

• Weight: 232.4 pounds

• Wingspan: 7'2.25"

• Standing reach: 8'11.5"

Anunoby's height is just under the 6-foot-8 he was listed at prior to the 2016-17 season, while his weight his 2.6 pounds less than the 235 reported by IU.

His standing reach tied with two other prospects for 18th-highest among the 67 combine invitees. Meanwhile, his wingspan measured 15th-longest among all prospects.

Bryant:

• Height with shoes: 6'10.75"

• Weight: 247.8 pounds

• Wingspan: 7'6"

• Standing reach: 9'4.5"

Bryant's height is three-quarters of an inch higher than the 6-10 he was listed at prior to the 2016-17 season, while his weight is 7.2 pounds less than the 255 reported by IU.

His standing reach tied with North Carolina freshman forward Tony Bradley for second among the 67 combine invitees. His wingspan measured third-longest among all prospects.

Strength And Agility Drills

Bryant recorded 11.42 seconds in the lane agility drill, 33.0 inches in the max vertical leap and 25.5 inches in the standing vertical leap on Day 1.

Bryant's lane agility time is tied with Iowa State guard Monte Morris for 19th among the 41 combine participants who have tested in the drill so far. Bryant's max vertical tied with two other players for 27th among the 43 combine participants who have tested in that drill so far, while his standing vertical tied for 35th among the 40 who have tested in that drill so far.

Among the 12 power forwards and centers who tested Day 1, Bryant had the slowest time in the lane agility drill, the seventh-highest max vertical leap and tied with Michigan's Moritz Wagner for the lowest standing vertical leap.

In the shuttle run, Bryant posted 3.12 seconds, 24th among the 41 combine invitees who have tested in the drill so far. In the three quarter court spring, Bryant posted 3.37 seconds, 31st among the 42 combine invitees who have tested in the drill so far.

His shuttle time ranked seventh among the 12 power forwards and centers who tested Day 1, while his three quarter quarter sprint time was the third-slowest among the same group.

Anunoby is still recovering from January knee surgery and was unable to participate in the drills.

Five-On-Five

Bryant did not play in the live scrimmage portion of the combine on Day 1, confirming what DraftExpress reported last weekend. Instead, Bryant participated in various drills while the scrimmage was played.

Team Meetings/Other News

Bryant said he's interviewed with eight teams, including the Miami Heat, according to CNHI's Mike DeFabo. Bryant also said from the day he declared for the draft (April 11), he knew he was going to keep his name in.

Latest Projections

DraftExpress released a pre-combine mock draft and projected Anunoby to go in the first round (No. 14 overall) to the Miami Heat, with Bryant headed to the Sacramento Kings in the second round (No. 34 overall).
