Indiana linebacker Micah McFadden had one of the best seasons from a linebacker in 2021 and was a staple in the middle of the linebacking core for the Hoosiers for much of the last three seasons.
Following his senior season, he decided to forgo the free COVID year given to every athlete across college athletics, and enter the NFL Draft.
In 2021, McFadden had 77 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. He was a Second-Team All-Big Ten selection.
His play was recognized even more last week when Pro Football Focus named McFadden as the best rated Big Ten linebackers for pass rush. He was given a grade of 92.
McFadden was a team captain in 2020 and 2021 and was on the preseason watch lists for the Bednarik, Butkus and Nagurski Awards. In 2020 he had 58 tackles in just eight games. He also had 10.5 tackles for loss, six sacks and two interceptions. He was also named a First-Team All-Big Ten selection for 2020.
For his career, McFadden totaled 216 tackles, 37 tackles for loss, four interceptions and three forced fumbles.
