Miami Killian Senior High School defensive back Dwight Bootle II is familiar with the type of football played in the Big Ten.

Bootle's brother, Dicaprio Bootle, played at the University of Nebraska, so when an offer came from Indiana this week, Bootle was not only excited about the possibility to play in the Big Ten, he told TheHoosier.com, he "loved" the thought of suiting up for the Hoosiers.

"I love Indiana. It felt great to get the offer. Honestly, Indiana has always been a school who stood out to me. I've always liked Indiana. I feel as if Indiana is a good home and what stands out to me is they have somebody up there that is from where I am from and they are putting on for the city, doing great," Bootle said.

What sets Indiana apart is it's being in the Big Ten.

"The conference sets it apart. I had a brother in the Big Ten, so he tells me all about it and how fun and challenging the conference is," Bootle said.

Bootle said he admires the job head coach Tom Allen has done turning the program around.

"It’s great, and it’s genuine. Everything is just going in the right direction," he said.

He adds that he is looking forward to visiting Bloomington and seeing the campus and program up close.

"i just want to feel as if I’m at home. I want to meet players and just learn more about the history of the program," Bootle said. "It’s definitely up there with my top schools. Indiana is a great school."

In addition to being offered by Indiana, Bootle has offers from the following: Michigan, Ole Miss, Pittsburgh, Washington State, Middle Tennessee State, Western Kentucky, Charlotte, Marshall, Florida Atlantic, Syracuse, and Rhode Island.

"In a school, I’m looking for the setup for the future because college sets you up for the next 40 years not just 4," Bootle added. "Also, just a home where I’m comfortable and able to put on and perform for the people in the town on gamedays."
