After arguably the biggest win of the Tom Allen Era so far, Indiana's staff and players addressed the media to preview Northwestern, who will come to Bloomington for a 7 p.m. kickoff.

Coming off potentially the biggest win during his tenure, Indiana head coach Tom Allen takes to the podium, along with offensive coordinator Kalen DeBoer, defensive coordinator Kane Wommack and select players, to preview the Hoosiers' next game against Northwestern.

Redshirt junior quarterback Peyton Ramsey addressed the media at the podium, the first time a player has talked from the podium all season.

The Hoosiers touched on the following:

- Allen said redshirt freshman Mike Penix is the starter, squashing any talk of another quarterback competition.

- Redshirt sophomore linebacker Thomas Allen is out for the rest of the season after irritating a shoulder injury at Nebraska. Redshirt freshman James Miller will take his place in the linebacker rotation.

- Redshirt senior guard Simon Stepaniak, who didn't play at Nebraska, is expected to be fine, Allen said, and Penix's status will be known Thursday or will be a game-time decision again.

- Wommack discussed wanting his defense to start stronger than it has in the last two games, and DeBoer touched on how he gameplans while not knowing who will be starting at quarterback from week to week.
