Summer workouts have officially wrapped up which means the Indiana players are getting a much needed break and are allowed to return home to spend time with their family while also able to continue to get more work in individually until they return to campus when classes start.

Indiana five-star freshman guard Jalen Hood-Schifino posted on his Instagram pictures and videos of him continuing to put in offseason with trainer.

Hood-Schifino projects to have a major role for the Hoosiers this upcoming season and will likely be starting alongside senior guard Xavier Johnson to make up Indiana's backcourt, something that he welcomes.

"I mean, the way he (Xavier Johnson) wants to play fits my game perfect," Hood-Schifino previously told the media. "He wants to play fast, get the ball out. For me, playing alongside Xavier Johnson that would be great. I think we both complement each other's games pretty well."

So far, Hood-Schifino is Mike Woodson's highest ranked player to come to Indiana under his helm and brings in another dynamic guard that can make plays.

"Jalen has a presence about himself that makes you take notice. As a staff we loved watching him play," Mike Woodson said previously. "He displays great maturity and is a team-first guy who makes others around him better, a pure winner. He has great size for his position and is a powerful guard that plays with force. Jalen will be able to help our ball club in a variety of ways. He's a guard that can score on all 3 levels, rebound the basketball, and has tremendous defensive awareness. Like the others, we are anxious for Jalen to get to campus."

"I'm a definitely a true point guard," Hood-Schifino said previously. "But at the end of the day, I'm a basketball player. I'm versatile. I can play wherever the coach needs me to play, but I'm definitely a point guard, I love getting my teammates involved, love leading."

Whether it is summer workouts with the team or individually, Hood-Schifino has put in a ton of work since officially becoming an Indiana Hoosier.

"I would just say that every day grind, just the practices, every day you're going against the five-star guys in high school, so it's just good," Hood-Schifino previously said. "The coaches did a good job of pushing us, and you know, I think overall, you know, it gave me a big leap to where I am now, and it's definitely helped me now that I'm in college."
