Indiana signees Davis, Jones among headliners for Derby Classic

Indiana signees De’Ron Davis and Curtis Jones will be among the headliners for the 2016 Kentucky Derby Festival Basketball Classic.

The game is at 7 p.m., Friday, April 15, at Freedom Hall in Louisville.

Tickets are $18 for lower arena seating, $50 for VIP courtside seating. They can be purchased by clicking here.

The Night of the Future Stars is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at New Albany (IN) High School. A ticket to Friday’s game is required for admittance Thursday night.

A 6-foot-10 four-star power forward, Davis led Overland High School in Aurora, Colo., to consecutive large-school state titles. He will be playing in the Derby Classic, Overland coach Danny Fisher tells Peegs.com.

A 6-foot-4 four-star combo guard, Jones played point guard the past two seasons for powerhouse Huntington Prep. Jones will be playing in the Derby Classic, his father tells Peegs.com.

Jones comes from the Boo Williams AAU program, the same as IU junior forward Troy Williams and sophomore guard Robert Johnson.

A host of future Indiana players have played in the Derby Classic, including Isiah Thomas, Damon Bailey, Victor Oladipo, Cody Zeller, Jared Jeffries, OG Anunoby, Thomas Bryant and Juwan Morgan.

Indiana 2016 commit Devonte Green has been selected to play in the Jordan Brand Classic Regional Game, his father tells Peegs.com.

The Jordan Brand Classic Regional Game is at 5:30 p.m., Friday, April 15, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Green is a 6-foot-1 three-star combo guard from Long Island Lutheran in New York.

Green led LuHi to the New York Federation Tournament of Champions semifinls.
