HOOSIERS FINISH IN NCAA TRACK FINALSÂ
Indiana's Noah Konch finished 21st in the discus at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Austin on Friday evening.
Konch threw the discus 55.40m on his final attempt to secure the 21st-place finish. He recorded a personal best of 58.70m at the NCAA East Prelims.
In the women's competitions, Paoloa Fernandez-Sola earned second-team All-America honors at her third straight meeting in the long jump after a 15th-place finish on Thursday night. She jumped over six meters on her second attempt but missed the final.
Jayden Ulrich finished in 18th place in the shot put, throwing 16.66m, she qualified for three consecutive national meets in the shotput since 2022.
HOOSIER TARGET DEMETRIUS JOHN COMMITS TO ILLINOIS
Three-star Ohio defensive lineman Demetrius John announced his commitment to Illinois on Sunday after completing an official visit to the Fighting Illini over the weekend.
Indiana had offered the Dublin native and planned to host the 6-foot-4 prospect for an official visit starting on June 20. It remains to be seen if John will officially visit Indiana after committing to another school.
John had three Power 5 scholarship offers, Illinois, Indiana and West Virginia.

KALUMA TO K-STATE
Creighton transfer Arthur Kaluma announced his transfer to Kansas State on Sunday, he was one of the top players in the transfer portal. He commits to K-State over Kentucky and Alabama, but Kaluma commits to Jerome Tang after a visit to Kansas State over the weekend.
Last season at Creighton, Kaluma averaged 11.8 points and 6.0 rebounds a game and shot a disappointing 31.1 percent form beyond the arc. As a freshman, the win put up 10.4 points and 5.4 rebounds a game.
Kaluma is the second transfer addition for Kansas State this offseason, joining guard Tylor Perry (North Texas) in the Wildcas transfer class.
