basketball career at Marquette. The 6-foot-10 freshman center grew up
just outside of Milwaukee in Germantown, Wisconsin.
Of course that's the program Indiana coach Tom Crean led for nine full
seasons. Current coach Buzz Williams was on Crean's staff when he left
for the Indiana opportunity.
Here's the confirming tweet from Fischer:

The Golden Eagles are part of the new Big East Conference and are 9-6
on the season. Williams took Marquette to the Elite Eight last season.
It was only last Monday that Indiana announced that Fischer was leaving
the program. The news came just one day before the Hoosiers' Big Ten
opener at Illinois.
"Marquette allows me to be closer to home while playing at the highest
level for a great academic institution," added Fischer on this twitter
account.
Two other schools were seriously considered.
"We narrowed the list down to UW-Milwaukee, Creighton and Marquette
before making a decision," tweeted Fischer.
