Brownsburg 2021 OT Josh Sales has always been a high priority target for Indiana, and now even more so. As IU's 2021 class continues to grow, all attention turns to Sales moving forward.
The in-state lineman released his top-five list at the end of April which consisted of Indiana, Purdue, Nebraska, Michigan State and Kansas. Now, with a summer all but lost due to COVID-19, Sales spoke to TheHoosier.com about where his recruitment stands and gave an update on his timeline.
Because of Indiana's long standing relationship with the talented prospect, the Hoosiers have been able to withstand some of the top programs that tried to slide into his recruitment in the later stages. That and being from the state of Indiana, the IU offer has always intrigued Sales and holds a special place for him and his family.
"I called them, and they said, 'Yeah, we're going to offer you.' I was like, 'Whoa,'" Sales previously told TheHoosier. "My dad was all the way upstairs. He heard me yelling in the basement. I was so hyped."
