A number of in-state prospects were expected in Assembly Hall on Sunday.

Among those spotted in-attendance watching IU host Northwestern was 2018 five-star guard Romeo Langford and 2019 Indianapolis Cathedral guard Armaan Franklin.

Langford is down to a final three list of schools including Indiana, Kansas and Vanderbilt. He's averaging over 32 points per game for an 11-1 overall New Albany squad, who is ranked No. 2 in Indiana's Class AAAA category.

Franklin currently holds offers from Butler, Xavier and Ohio State among others, with both IU and Purdue evaluating him this winter.

“That’s a school I’m interested in,” Franklin told TheHoosier.com of IU earlier in the week. “It’s not far from home, only about an hour and a half, so that’s cool.

“The new coach is a good coach. The players have to get used to him so that’s why there’s ups and downs. It’s a rebuilding year.”

Franklin is averaging 21.2 points, 8.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists for Cathedral. He was named preseason first team All-City in Indianapolis by the Indianapolis Boys Basketball Coaches Association.

Also spotted in the crowd was McCutcheon four-star point guard Rob Phinisee, an IU signee, 2019 New Castle forward Mason Gillis and 2020 Bloomington South guard Anthony Leal.
