Teri Moren just landed the most talented recruit in her time in Bloomington and perhaps the most gifted player Indiana has landed in the past decade.

Jaelynn Penn, an ESPN 5-star guard out Louisville, Kentucky, committed to Indiana on her official visit Sunday morning. She's ranked No. 39 overall among 2017 prospects by ESPN and is unquestionably the most talented player out of high school to commit to Moren to date.

“Our baby is a IN Hoosier,” Lana Penn, Jaelynn’s mother, said in a Tweet on Sunday with a photo of IU's newest commit wearing IU gear.

Penn decommitted from Dayton just two weeks ago but didn't waste much time finding a new school in Indiana ahead of the likes of South Carolina. The 5-foot-9 guard averaged 14.2 points and 5.9 rebounds as a junior for Butler High School.

Penn's commitment turns the tide in a recent stretch of near gets among high-profile recruits, including 2016 forward Lindsey Corsaro and 2017 guard Dana Evans, who chose UCLA and Louisville over IU.

The Hoosiers now have four commitments in the 2017 class in Penn, Alexis Johnson, Linsey Marchese and Keyanna Warthen.
