If you're looking for something to watch in IU's Sunday exhibition against University of Indianapolis (2 p.m. ET, BTN+), keep an eye on the minutes freshman guard Al Durham may (or may not) get.

Durham wasn't the most touted member of IU's 2017 recruiting class - those accolades belonged to four-star prospects Clifton Moore and Justin Smith. But listen to head coach Archie Miller talk, and his comments about Durham could be interpreted as more bullish than he's offered about other players.

The former Lilburn (Ga.) Berkmar guard didn't play in Hoosier Hysteria or IU's first exhibition game due to an injury, but could be available Sunday.

"Big boost for us in general at that position is getting Al back," Miller said at Friday's media availability. "Having the ability to play Al in there with Josh [Newkirk], or without, then having Devonte [Green] in there with Al or without gives us another guy.

"Al's a very gifted offensive player - he really knows how to play the game. So he's another guy. Getting him back helps Josh."

Durham originally committed to previous IU head coach Tom Crean over offers from Miami and Virginia Tech among others. Then when Crean departed and Miller took over, Durham heard from double-digit power-five conference programs before recommitting to IU.

His length and defense were thought to be an asset for Miller's defensive philosophy.

"He's a very smart guard," sophomore Curtis Jones said of Durham. "Crafty - can shoot.

"He really does it all at the guard position."
