According to Pro Football Focus, former IU running back Jordan Howard is one of the top four rookie running backs through the first two weeks of the 2016 NFL season.
A fifth-round pick by the Chicago Bears selected 150th overall in the 2016 NFL Draft, Howard made his NFL debut during the Bears' Monday Night Football matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this week. He finished his first pro game with three carries for 22 yards, adding a pair of receptions for nine yards in Chicago's 29-14 loss to Philadelphia.
Under the guidance of IU running backs coach Deland McCullough, Howard earned first-team All-Big Ten honors in his lone season at Indiana after averaging the second-most rushing yards per game in the conference at 134.8 per contest.
Howard and the Bears will face the the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football on NBC at 8:30 p.m. ET this weekend.
