IU football added its ninth commitment in the 2018 class on Thursday when Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview receiver Miles Marshall committed to IU.
He chose the Hoosiers over Purdue, Iowa State and Vanderbilt among others.
Marshall made his decision after visiting campus on Thursday with his family.
"It was a good fit for me academically," he said. "They offered a major I wanted to major in - it's a great fit for me football-wise.
"I love their offense and all the coaches. It's not too far away but far enough away.
"I just loved everything about it."
Listed at 6-3, 200 pounds, part of what appealed to Marshall on the gridiron was Indiana's scheme. He noted some of IU's offense is similar to what they run at Parkview.
"Coach [Grant] Heard really likes big receivers," Marshall said. "We went through the concepts and schemes, some of it is similar to my high school now - so it won't be that big of a transition."
Marshall's trip to Bloomington was an unofficial, so he plans to come back on an official trip, but no dates has been set yet.
He finished with 47 catches for 773 receiving yards and nine touchdowns as a junior,
