Juwan Morgan's monster performance against Butler didn't go unnoticed. Not by those in attendance at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, the national television audience watching on CBS and most certainly the Big Ten.

The IU senior forward was named the conference's Player of the Week Monday afternoon after posting a career-high 35 points in the Hoosiers' 71-68 Crossroads Classic win over the Bulldogs on Saturday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Morgan's 35 points shattered his own Crossroads Classic scoring record of 34 set last season against Notre Dame. His performance also earned him the distinction of becoming the 52nd player in school history surpass 1000 career points. Overall, his 1,020 stands 51st on IU's career scoring list.

Against Butler, the Waynesville, Mo., native hit 12 of 14 shots from the floor, including a 4 of 6 mark from 3-point range. He also added three rebounds, two blocks and two steals. The second steal led to him connecting on the two game-tying free throws. His layup on IU's next possession gave it its first lead of the game.

The Big Ten Player of the Week honor is the second of Morgan's career. He was also the last Indiana player to earn the recognition, doing so on December 18, 2017.

Indiana returns to action hosting Central Arkansas at 7 p.m. ET Wednesday.
