IU head coach Tom Crean and the Hoosiers tip off vs. UMass Lowell on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. ET on the Big Ten Network.
Check out our staff predictions for the game below.
Stu Jackson: Indiana 100, UMass Lowell 65 - No disrespect to UMass Lowell, but IU is playing on another level after its big win over Kansas last week. This contest won't be close.
Jordan Wells: Indiana 103, UMass Lowell 75 - The River Hawks fell by 14 in a game at UMass, who ranks No. 143 nationally on Kenpom.com. The Hoosiers are coming back from their trip to Hawaii, so who knows if a player or two might drag a bit, but even so Indiana is the far superior team and should have no issues pulling out a big win.
Sam Beishuizen: Indiana 98, UMass Lowell 68 - UMass-Lowell shot well in its game against Wagner, converting on 9-of-18 tries from beyond the arc. So maybe this has the makings for a classic upset? Just kidding. No. No it doesn’t. Not at all. The Hoosiers will walk all over their first opponent at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, winning 98-68. Let’s see if James Blackmon can continue his strong start and whether or not OG Anunoby will take a shot that isn’t from beyond the arc. Hint: He probably will. I imagine plenty of dunks all over UMass-Lowell.
