IU head coach Archie Miller met with the media on Friday to preview Sunday's exhibition against University of Indianapolis.

Q: How far along are you with instituting the offense?
Miller: Our base, I'd say 80 percent of our practice is really based on transition offense and spacing, making sure guys are understanding their roles in transition and our flow game - our ability to play after the play. We didn't get a whole lot of that against Marian. Against good teams, you're not going to be able to score on one or two passes. So I'd say 75 percent, just in terms of the amount of plays and actions and all that, we're not heavily invested in them yet and that will have to start to come after we get through this week where our package going into Game 1 is 90 percent done."
Q: I think you mentioned the five spot, you're a little worried about your depth there. What might be your options after Freddie [McSwain] backing up De'Ron [Davis]?
Miller: "That's a good question, it actually came up in practice today with the staff. The way you look at it is you are always at an advantage when you play small offensively. In many cases, it may not be the best decision defensively, but you can cover things defensively with different schemes and different approaches. Our best option at some point is can Collin [Hartman] and Juwan [Morgan] play together? Can those guys play together in a game? Which they haven't had the chance to do because Collin's been out anyway, but it's a thought you play - I don't want to say 'the five' - but you play five good players offensively, and that may be your weapon, instead of your depth being just about the position and maybe the lineup, the creativity with your lineup. It's something we'll have to think about moving forward after this weekend."
