Honors/accomplishments:

• Named first-team All-Tampa Bay by The Tampa Bay Times.

• Ranked No. 23 on the Top 30 Tampa Bay-area Class of 2017 recruits by the Tampa Bay Times.

Recruitment:

• Knight's offers included Illinois, Iowa State, Louisville, Maryland, Purdue, South Florida, Wake Forest and West Virginia among others.

Took his official visit to Indiana over the Dec. 2 weekend.

One of several early-enrollees to join the program this cycle.

Recruiter of record:

Was recruited by former Indiana coaches Kevin Wilson (Ohio State) and Greg Frey (Michigan).

Quotable:

“He’s a student of the game, so he really looks at his opponents. Speed rusher, bull rusher, they go in, they go out, different types of blitzes. Communication on the offensive line is going great with different pickups. He plays very well with eyes." - Northside Christian head coach Mike Alstott on Knight.

Scouting report:

• Solid build with his 275-pound frame.

• Converted to left tackle at Northside Christian from tight end.

2017 projection: There is a lot of uncertainty on Indiana's short depth chart at offensive line. Still, most offensive linemen tend to redshirt as freshmen. Knight could be called into action if needed depending how the roster shakesout.
