Mississippi DL commits to Indiana

Mississippi defensive lineman Jerome Johnson announced on Twitter that he has committed to Indiana today. The 6-foot-4, 300-pound standout from Bassfield H.S. in Bassfield, Mississippi is the 18th commit for Kevin Wilson and his staff in the 2016 recruiting class.

Johnson picked the Hoosiers over offers from Illinois, Louisville, Ole Miss, USF and Southern Miss. This past season Johnson recorded 88 tackles, 44 QB hurries, 20 tackles for loss and eight sacks. After the 2015 season Johnson was named the Region 7-2A MVP after helping to lead Bassfield to its fourth straight Class 2A State Championship.
