Indiana's one-man takeaway machine is turning professional.
Linebacker Marcus Oliver, who assisted on 13 takeaways with a school record 12 forced fumbles to go along with two interceptions and two fumble recoveries, will forego his redshirt senior season and enter the NFL Draft.
"It has been an honor and a privilege to play for and be a part of the Indiana Hoosier family," Oliver said in a statement.
Oliver played right away his freshman season before suffering a season-ending ACL injury early against Missouri early in the 2014 season that forced him to sit out the remainder of the year. He came back the next two seasons, emerging as the leader of Indiana's defense.
Oliver tallied 96 tackles his senior season but did not participate in Indiana's Foster Farms Bowl loss to Utah. Head coach Tom Allen said Oliver was dealing with an injury at the time.
