Georgia DB signs with IU
Georgia defensive back Marcelino Ball has signed with Indiana today. The 6-foot, 200-pound standout from Roswell (GA) Roswell H.S. is the 20th commit for Kevin Wilson and his staff in the 2016 recruiting class.
Ball picked the Hoosiers over offers from West Virginia, Arkansas State, Ball State, Middle Tennessee State, Tulane, Georgia Southern, Georgia State and Appalachian State.
Ball is listed as a cornerback by Rivals.com but in college he projects more as a safety or possibly an outside linebacker depending on how big he gets. After the 2015 season he was named to the Georgia Sportswriter’s Association All-State 6A Second Team, and to Region 5-6A First Team.
