Indiana sophomore guard Curtis Jones will transfer away from the program, the program announced Sunday.

Jones has already left the team and will transfer at the end of the fall semester, according to a release from IU.

"We appreciate Curtis’s contributions and wish him nothing but the best in the future," IU head coach Archie Miller said in a statement.

The 6-foot-4, 175-pound Jones averaged 3.0 points in 11.4 minutes per game in seven games this season, seeing the least amount of playing time among IU's scholarship guards.

"I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to be a part of the IU basketball program and look forward to finding a new situation where I can achieve the goals I have as a basketball player and as a student," Jones said in the same statement.

In 40 games (one start) as a Hoosier, Jones averaged 3.4 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.9 assists across 451 minutes of playing time (11.3 minutes per contest).
