Class of 2018 three-star Illinois offensive tackle Nick Marozas is a Hoosier.

The 6-foot-5, 255-pound offensive lineman from Chicago (Ill.) Brother Rice announced his verbal pledge to the Hoosiers Monday evening, becoming the fifth member of the 2018 recruiting class.

"I am very honored and proud to say I will continue my academic and athletic careers at Indiana University #LEO #B1G #BreakThrough," Marozas tweeted.

The No. 25 overall prospect in the state of Illinois, Marozas joins three-star Illinois tight end Matt Bjorson, two-star Tennessee wide receiver Jacolby Hewitt, three-star Lowell (Ind.) High defensive back Jordan Jusevitch and three-star South Carolina cornerback Elijah Rodgers in IU's 2018 recruiting class.

Marozas recently visited IU for its Friday Night Lights camp this past weekend. He chose the Hoosiers over offers from Ball State, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Indiana, Miami (Ohio), Minnesota, Toledo, Virginia, Western Kentucky, Western Michigan and Wyoming. Big Ten programs Illinois, Purdue and Wisconsin had also shown interest.

Marozas helped lead Brother Rice to a 9-3 record last season in Class 8A, the highest level of competition in the Illinois High School Association (IHSA).
