Notes

• Right-handed pitcher Pauly Milto and infielder Logan Kaletha helped power IU three wins in four games at Baseball at the Beach in South Carolina last weekend and will look to continue their strong play heading into this weekend's Snowbird Classic in Port Charlotte, Fla. ICYMI, our recap from IU's season-opening weekend.

• While the Friday and Saturday starter spots appear solidified, Indiana head coach Chris Lemonis is still working on finding a Sunday starter. Timmy Herrin and Andrew Saalfrank combined to pitch 6.0 innings and allowed 10 hits, six earned runs and four walks last weekend, with Saalfrank starting on Sunday and Herrin getting the nod on Monday.

• Boston College opened its season with a 2-1 series victory over South Santa Clara this weekend. The Eagles excel at running the base paths, tied for 23rd nationally in stolen bases per game with two.

• Rutgers dropped a three-game series to Miami (Fla.) 1-2 over its opening weekend. However, it was a good test for the Knights, as the Hurricanes ranked No. 43 in the NCAA's Division I RPI.

• Chicago State has a low RPI but a high-powered offense, tied for 19th nationally with 9.0 runs per contest. The Cougars opened their season with a 2-1 series victory over LIU Brooklyn in South Carolina.
