One of the calling cards of IU's string of solid performances to close out the regular season was its strong guard play.

Those same guards who stepped up to help IU win its final four regular season games also came through in Tuesday night's 89-72 win over St. Francis (PA) to advance to the second round of the NIT, led by a career-high 22 points from sophomore Al Durham Jr.

""Al did a nice job. I thought all of our perimeter guys from an offensive standpoint did a pretty good job." "
— Indiana head coach Archie Miller
