Ratings:

Honors/accomplishments:
• Ranked No. 24 on the Top 30 Tampa Bay-area Class of 2017 recruits by the Tampa Bay Times.
Recruitment:
• Philyor's offers included Arizona, Iowa State, Louisville, Maryland, South Florida and Virginia Tech among others.
• Took his only official visit to Indiana over the Jan. 13 weekend.
Recruiter of record:
• Was recruited by now-Indiana head coach Tom Allen.
Quotable:
“If you watch his highlight film, you’ll see he never gets tackled and goes backward. He is always going forward, and sometimes going forward not to get just 2-3 extra yards, but sometimes he maintains an incredible balance and takes it the distance. So he’ll turn a 5-yard play into a 50-yard play.
“He can really do it by catching the long ball, or giving him a bubble screen and letting him run with it afterwards. I can tell you one thing, not only as the head coach but as the playcaller, he makes a bad playcaller look really good sometimes." - Plant head coach Robert Weiner on Philyor.
Scouting report:
• Speed is evident with his track times, but he's also fast in pads.
• Dangerous as a downfield threat.
• Split time with his high school squad also playing defense.
2017 projection: If Philyor is to play in the slot, Indiana loses standout Mitchell Paige from last year, but does return J-Shun Harris - albeit from a second significant knee injury. Should the need arise depending on any injuries and shifting of the roster, Philyor could get some early reps.
