Robinson shines in Haunted Hall scrimmage

Indiana freshman Stanford Robinson may have be hobbled with a knee bruise but
the 6-foot-4 guard didn't let that bother him this afternoon in leading the Crimson to

a 52-49 win over the Cream in a 20-minutes scrimmage today at Assembly Hall.
The annual Haunted Hall of Hoops intrasquad game was witnessed by about 4,500 fans.
Robinson finished with a game high 20 points for the winners. Fellow freshman
Luke Fischer added 10 points including a series of post moves inside in
the final 10 minutes of the contest.
Austin Etherington heated up in the final minutes to finish with a team high
15 points for the Cream team. Jeremy Hollowell finished with 11 points via our
unofficial count.
Before the 20-minute game Tom Crean told the crowd that players that saw
heavy minutes in last night's exhibition game win would not see extensive court
time. As a result, vets Yogi Ferrell and Will Sheehey saw just a couple minutes of
early time. Hanner Mosquera-Perea, Noah Vonleh and Troy Williams also saw
limited action. The Vonleh-Williams duo did combine for 14 points and were
largely responsive for an early 11-2 lead for the Crimson team.
Vonleh stood out with three baskets inside despite being fouled on each move.
The freshman, however, failed to convert the three-point play each time from the
line.
While the Crimson team led most of the game, a three-pointer from walk-on
Tayler Wayer cut the margin to three with 3.5 seconds to play. The Cream team
was awarded the ball with one last chance but turned it over.
Unofficial scoring totals:
Crimson (52): Robinson 20, Fischer 10, Vonleh 8, Williams 6, Marlin 4,
Hartman 2, Unallocated 2
Cream (49): Etherington 15, Hollowell 11, Wayer 7, Jurkin 6, Gordon 4,
Howard 4, Sheehey 2
3-pointers: Etherington 2, Wayer 2, Hollowell 1
