IU sophomore forward OG Anunoby will undergo surgery on his right knee and is out for the season. The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski first reported the news.

"It has been determined that OG Anunoby will undergo surgery on his right knee and miss the remainder of the season," Indiana head coach Tom Crean said in a statement. "He is a expected to make a complete recovery."

Anunoby sustained the right knee injury in Indiana's win at Penn State this past Wednesday.

The Jefferson City, Missouri, native has been widely projected as a first-round pick by many experts and outlets. Draft Express/The Vertical ranked the 6-foot-8, 235-pound Anunoby as the 10th-best prospect in the 2017 NBA Draft class.

Prior to the injury, Anunoby was IU's fourth-leading scorer at 11.1 points per game and second-leading rebounder at 5.4 boards per game. He had started in 10 of IU's 16 games this season, averaging 25.1 minutes per contest.

"For a young man, OG has a very strong faith and courageous spirit," Crean said. "We are going to do everything we can as a basketball family to help him recover and rehabilitate from this unfortunate situation.
