Staff Predictions

Taylor Lehman: Indiana 24, Rutgers 13 - IU needs to win the ground game this week. If they don’t, they will lose. If neither team wins the run game, which I think will happen, then IU wins a game that’s not only ugly, but also hinging on big plays that the defense can make, very similarly to the game against Illinois.

Stu Jackson: Indiana 27, Rutgers 21 - Indiana has the advantage statistically in most categories and is playing at home. Coupled with Rutgers being 1-3 on the road this season, that’s enough for me to pick the Hoosiers. However, with both teams needing a win to get one win closer to becoming bowl eligible, I expect this game to be close.

Jordan Wells: Indiana 28, Rutgers 14 - IU's defense should be able to do a nice job at home against Rutgers' offense, which is among the worst in the country in both explosiveness and efficiency. On the flip side, Indiana's offense isn't much better, but they should be able to put up some points on a mediocre Rutgers defense. I'll take the Hoosiers by a couple scores.
