Indiana Targets Expected To Play At New Albany On Tuesday Night

If you're an Indiana fan, New Albany is the place to be on Tuesday night.

The Indiana Junior All-Stars will scrimmage the senior team at New Albany this evening, with the girls game scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. ET, and the boys game to follow after.

Three Indiana recruits - McCutcheon point guard Rob Phinisee, Indianapolis Tindley guard Eric Hunter and South Bend Riley guard Damezi Anderson - make up the core team that plays at New Albany on Tuesday night, as well as on June 8 at Plainfield.

Bloomington North forward Musa Jallow was selected to the south team, so he could also play at New Albany, but he won't travel to Plainfield.

New Albany five-star guard Romeo Langford was chosen to the core team, but he won't play at New Albany on Tuesday night, as he's in Europe for an adidas event through June 12.

Background: Phinisee averaged 21.4 points, 6.9 assists, 5.8 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game as a junior to lead McCutcheon to a 24-3 overall record. He was named first team All-State by the Associated Press, and named to the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Underclass All-State Supreme team

Recruitment Summary: He has held an Indiana offer since Sept. 2015, and also holds offers from Purdue, Butler and Virginia among others. He visited the Hoosiers four times this year, including for a football game, Hoosier Hysteria and Indiana's regular season games against UNC and Purdue.

Background: He averaged 26.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game as a junior to lead Tindley to a 22-6 overall record and a Class A state championship. Hunter was named City Player of the Year from The Indianapolis Star.

Recruitment Summary: He holds early Big Ten offers from Nebraska, Purdue and Minnesota, in addition to Big East offers from Butler, Xavier and Creighton. He has visited Nebraska, Purdue and Butler among others unofficially. IU is tracking him but has not extended a scholarship yet.

Background: Anderson averaged 24.0 points and 7.6 rebounds per game to lead Riley to a 19-3 overall record this season.

Recruitment Summary: He holds offers from UConn, Purdue and Michigan among others. IU has watched him, but has not extended a scholarship yet.

Background: Jallow averaged 24.1 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game for Bloomington North.

Recruitment Summary: He holds offers from Virginia, IU, Purdue, Virginia and Vanderbilt among others. His recruitment is still wide open at this stage.
