IU on Sunday recognized its seniors and several others for their contributions to its 2017 season during its end-of-season team banquet at the Henke Hall of Champions.

Senior linebacker Tegray Scales won the Anthony Thompson MVP award, becoming the first Hoosier to earn the distinction in back-to-back seasons since former IU linebacker Jammie Kirlew. Redshirt senior quarterback Richard Lagow won Indiana's inaugural L.E.O. (Love Each Other0 Award.

Head coach Tom Allen also recognized Indiana's captains - Scales, Lagow, senior defensive end Greg Gooch and redshirt junior offensive lineman Wes Martin.

Terry P. Cole Award (Old Oaken Bucket Game MVP): Redshirt senior safety Chase Dutra, redshirt senior kicker Griffin Oakes
