Tom Allen is in the midst of wrapping up his 2017 recruiting class but just added the first member to his 2018 group Saturday with Lowell, Indiana, defensive back Jordan Jusevitch committing to the Hoosiers.

"With a lot of thought and conversations with my coaches and family, I know that this is the right choice for me," he said.

Jusevitch jumped at the opportunity to play for IU over offers from Ball State and Central Michigan to go along with interest from the likes of Kansas, Wisconsin and others still jumping into his recruitment.

A two-way player at Lowell High School, the 6-foot, 199-pound prospect played both running back and defensive back but projects as a corner at Indiana.

He registered 104 tackles, seven of which went for a loss, two fumble recoveries, a forced fumble and five interceptions en route to being named the Northwest Indiana Times area Defensive Player of the Year.

TheHoosier.com will have more on this developing story with thoughts from Jusevitch.
