Green named B1G co-Freshman of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana redshirt freshman defensive tackle Ralphael Green collected Big Ten co-Freshman of the Week honors, the conference announced Monday. Green shared the award with Penn State quarterback Christian Hackenberg. He is the first Hoosier to earn the accolade since quarterback Nate Sudfeld on Sept. 17, 2012.
Green recorded his first career sack and forced fumble, and he added career-highs with two tackles and four solo stops at Ohio State. On the season, the San Antonio native has appeared in all 11 games (eight starts) and owns 24 tackles, one sack, 4.5 TFLs, one forced fumble and two blocked field goals.

Up next, Indiana closes out the 2013 campaign hosting Purdue on Saturday, Nov. 30. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. EST at Memorial Stadium and BTN will televise the game. Twenty-one Hoosier seniors will take the field for the final time on Senior Day.
The longtime rivals will battle for the Old Oaken Bucket, the trophy awarded to the winner of the annual game. Saturday's meeting marks the 89th battle for the Bucket and the 116th overall meeting.
