3-Star Tight End Kurt Rafdal Commits To Indiana

Kurt Rafdal is going to be a Hoosier.

The three-star tight end out of Carmel, Indiana, committed to IU on Thursday. The 2017 prospect is teammates with Hoosier commit Britt Beery at Carmel High School.

Indiana made Rafdal a priority target and made good on keeping yet another in-state talent. He had offers from Auburn, Illinois, Iowa State, Louisville, Maryland, Nebraska, Purdue, Syracuse and Nebraska, among others.

The 6-foot-7, 230-pound tight end is a lanky target capable of impacting the game both through the passing attack and as a blocker. He seemed more than comfortable doing both for Carmel this season and has 25 catches for 273 yards and a touchdown to show for it.

Rafdal's commitment is yet another sign that Kevin Wilson has won the state of Indiana over, at least with a few top targets. The Hoosiers have the pledges of Beery, Harry Crider, Bryant Fitzgerald, Peyton Hendershot, Caleb Jones and LeShaun Minor to make up seven commits total from the Hoosier state out of 15 in the class so far.
