3-Star Defensive Tackle Juan Harris Recommits To Indiana

Juan Harris is a Hoosier—again.

Tweeting that he is "all in 100%," the three-star defensive tackle who was once committed to Indiana and three times committed to Iowa said his recruitment is over and that he'll sign with IU planning to enroll next semester.

He is the 15th commit to join the 2017 class.

Ranked No. 37 among defensive tackles nationally, Harris is one of the most talented defensive linemen in the country. The 6-foot-3, 367-pound prospect did not enjoy his initial visit to Bloomington, which sparked a decommitment, but he liked his second enough to give his pledge once more.

The plan is for Harris to graduate at semester and join the program in the spring. That type of timetable will give him a chance to get in shape with the Hoosiers in Bloomington before fighting for playing time next fall.

Harris has built a rather strong relationship with IU defensive line coach Mark Hagen through this process. While he was narrowing his list of suiters, Harris often mentioned wanting to find a family atmosphere where he could trust his coaches.

Apparently, IU fit the bill after all.
