2018 Three-Star Defensive End Madison Norris Commits To IU

Class of 2018 three-star defensive end Madison Norris is a Hoosier.

The 6-foot-5, 200-pound weakside defensive end from Fishers (Ind.) Hamilton Southeastern High verbally committed to IU on Friday, becoming the 16th member of the 2018 class.

Rated by Rivals as the No. 31 weakside defensive end nationally and No. 10 overall prospect in the state of Indiana, Norris joins three-star Virginia running back Ronnie Walker, three-star Indianapolis Ben Davis athlete Reese Taylor, three-star Tennessee athlete Jaylin Williams, two-star Florida linebacker Micah McFadden, three-star Florida defensive end James Head Jr., three-star Washington, D.C. offensive tackle Aidan Rafferty, three-star Georgia wide receiver Miles Marshall, Tennessee kicker Charles Campbell, three-star Georgia linebacker Aaron Casey, three-star Illinois offensive tackle Nick Marozas, three-star Illinois tight end Matt Bjorson, two-star Tennessee wide receiver Jacolby Hewitt, three-star Lowell (Ind.) High defensive back Jordan Jusevitch and three-star South Carolina cornerback Elijah Rodgers in IU's 2018 recruiting class.

Norris ultimately chose the Hoosiers over offers from Purdue, Cincinnati, Tennessee, Rutgers and Mizzou - the other five schools which comprised his top six - among others.

As a junior, Norris collected 67 total tackles, including two sacks, over 10 games. He also caused and recovered one fumble. He has 24 total tackles, including one for loss, through seven games of his senior season this year.

Norris also track at Hamilton Southeastern. This spring, he took home the Hoosier Crossroads Conference 110-meter hurdles championship at Zionsville (Ind.) High School with a time of 14.64 seconds, .27 seconds ahead of the next-closest competitor.
