Pre-game Coverage

The Peegs.com staff have been hard at work getting you ready for today's game. Here's a rundown of stories related to today's matchup as well as a few from our sister Spartan Mag site on Rivals:

Indiana will be looking to start the Big Ten season off with a 2-0 record when they travel to East Lansing tomorrow to take on the Michigan State Spartans at Spartan Stadium. Peegs.com caught up with Paul Konyndyk from SpartanMag.com to get the latest on a Michigan State team that comes into the game with a record of 4-1 overall and 1-0 in the Big Ten.

A look at the Spartans

EAST LANSING - It only seems fitting that the 500th game in Spartan Stadium should be played under the backdrop of a Homecoming battle that features the nation's best defense versus the Big Ten's No. 1-ranked offense.

Homecoming treat: Top defense vs. top offense

After getting off to a slow start this season Indiana receiver Cody Latimer has put up impressive numbers in the last three games for the Hoosiers. In contests against Bowling Green, Missouri and Penn State the Ohio native has hauled in 23 passes for 413 yards and two touchdowns. Latimer met with the media earlier this week and talked about his recent play and about the significance of the win over the Nittany Lions.

Latimer stepping up his game

EAST LANSING - While the talk at Thursday's Mark Dantonio Radio Show concentrated on Indiana, Homecoming and the celebration honoring the 25th anniversary of Michigan State's 1988 Rose Bowl Championship team, Dantonio gave some insight as to what he will be looking for from his team for the remainder of the season.

The offensive line Indiana had on the field to finish Saturday's 44-24 victory over Penn State will be the one to start Saturday's game at Michigan State.

Indiana loses another offensive lineman

EAST LANSING - Less than a week removed from being honored by the Big Ten as the conference's Defensive Player of the Week, senior cornerback Darqueze Dennard and his cornerback playing partner sophomore Trae Waynes will face their biggest challenges to date when it comes to shutting down an opponent's pass game.

Dennard, Waynes facing big test

EAST LANSING - Coming off a critical road victory at Iowa, Michigan State returns to Spartan Stadium to face an Indiana team with a high-powered offense and momentum from a victory over Penn State.
