How was your first semester?
"The first semester went very well. Coming and adjusting with football and academcis, our academic team helped the freshmen a lot balancing football with school."

What are some benefits of redshirting?
"Being able to come in and help yourself adjust in the classroom. You're also with (strength) Coach (Mark) Hill in the morning before practice and you get a hard lift in and it helps you change your body."

Talk about playing for linebackers coach Mike Ekeler:
"It's real fun playing for Coach Ekeler. He's a real enthusiastic guy. He's very live. In the film room, he keeps things funny. It's great learning from him because he is a great teacher and great coach. I've learned a lot so far."

What is your current weight?
"I weigh 227 right now. I came in at 235, so we are shaving some bad weight off. I look a lot different than I did when I first came here."

How has Mark Hill and the strength staff helped you?
"I wasn't too good at power clean when I first came in, but we've gotten that number up. My body, I look a whole lot different. I had some bad fat on me and they've helped me get that off."

What are you looking forward to during spring practice?
"Grinding with my team and getting better in the spring period. I've never experienced spring football before. I'm really looking forward to grinding with the team on this journey to next season."

What is the biggest difference between high school and college football?
"You are not the big man on campus any more. In high school you are the big man on the field and can pretty much do whatever you want physically because you are so much more advanced than everyone else."

How is it playing with your brother Kevin Davis?
"It's great. When you first come in you have your ups and downs your freshman year adjusting to college football. Whenever I need to talk to someone about something, he is always there to talk to rather than me having to call home to my parents."

What is your major?
"Sport communication-broadcast."

Who is your roommate?
"My brother, Kevin, Tevin Coleman and Dawson Fletcher. We are all in the same suite. It is pretty fun in there."

What was your favorite moment last season?
"After we beat Iowa because it was a close game and the defense got the stop at the end of the game to help us win."
