The D gets dominated on the road

Indiana's offense was probably going to have a tough day.

Michigan State's defense, after all, entered the game ranked No. 1 in the country.

Indiana's defense, well, it was expected to fare a little better than this.

Michigan State entered the game with one of the 25 worst offenses in the country in major college football. The Spartans ranked 100th out of 123 Bowl Subdivision teams, averaging just 355 yards per game.

The Spartans hadn't scored more than 26 points against a BCS conference team all season, but they came with six drives of 60 yards or more and scored a season-high in points in beating the Hoosiers 42-28 this afternoon in East Lansing.
